It is difficult to explain to auto salvage yards that I am looking for actual junk parts. Not parts to repair a car, but things that actually don’t work at all. “It’s for art!” I say.
And, it doesn’t matter what make/model. One yard has a website were you can look up if they have a part, but I just want an alternator, it doesn’t matter from what car. The search only functions if you fill in all fields.
I think I found a guy who understands. Got a meeting with him at 2:30, his salvage yard is 40 minutes away.
