Magic Highway USA, Disney’s vision of the future, circa 1958.

Well, they nailed the decentralization of cities, enormous shopping malls with little walking, and the highway/railroad/shipping/air cargo container system, but they may have missed in a few other spots (all the really interesting ones).

So it’s Disney we have to blame for obesity, global warming, suburbs, and Teamsters? Fuck you, Walt. Again.

Again, for later.

They got the bad parts right and the good parts wrong, heh.  Still, a completely captivating 8 minutes.
