Thoughts on my Trip to the Corner Market
- The proprietor (indeed, the owner of the place was manning the counter tonight) seemed rather standoffish for me being the only customer in the store. Was I interrupting something? Sorry for buying things from you, sir.
- I got startled by a noise I accidentally made with my mouth. I am startled very easily. I actually jumped a bit.
- It was amazing out. I barely needed a jacket, there was a beautiful half moon, and many stars were visible.
- The soundtrack of outside is the braking of trains, far off. It’s a bit like something out of War of the Worlds, but oddly soothing.
