wtf water, why won’t you boil? I boiled you earlier today, why not now??? I’ve spent 30 minutes… and now one burner is finally getting hot. why are all the labels rubbed off the dials????
This is my first meal trying to cook all by myself, ever. It better fucking work!
An icecream truck drove by. First time I’ve ever seen that in Cincy. I think I’ll like this street.
They chased the gay out. My class had 10. Only 2 are going on to grad school here.
A lot of the people I hang out with (not just gay ones) aren’t going to be here anymore.
First day of last quarter of undergrad.
Today: classes from 9 till 5. It’s like a job, but there is homework and I don’t get paid.

You can buy 2- to 3-prong adapters at Target. They’re 3 for like $2.

There aren’t any 3-prong outlets in this apartment! I can’t plug anything in these outlets!!
Oh, crisis averted. Bought some at CVS. Target isn’t walking distance, yall.

I woke up early this morning and watched The Truman Show. The film was first released close to 11 years ago and many aspects of the film seem to be as relevant today as they were back in the late ’90s, especially the idea that media can act as an all-encompassing power over our lives, the insatiable hunger for other people’s self-exposure, our desire for personal gain by exploiting...
Also, I inadvertedly continue my stalking of minor-tumblr-celebrity Cameron. I’m now even closer to the street he lives on.
Other than the lack of 3prong outlets, this apartment is great! I finished assembling the last of my furniture this morning. I have a desk and a bedside table and a bookshelf and a dresser and a coffee table and a kitchen-thing and a sofa that turns into an uncomfortable bed!
The shower is great: high pressure and hot.
I can hear birds out the windows, and there are a lot of trees. Its bright...

This morning I leave for Cincinnati. Spring Break is over. The last 5 days have been totally boring, but the 4 before that were the best.
On the agenda today: Drive for 4 hours. Look at my studio apartment with a critical eye, measure walls and so forth because next is… IKEA! I’ll try and go hog wild while my parents are like “this is expensive, do you even really need...

look what i builded
AMAZING.
Right before I left to shop, the mail came with an Express coupon card. $30 off any purchase of $75 or more. Pretty incredible, so I made a point to look around carefully there.
But… everything is so expensive, but nothing I really wanted… I would have felt like I’m buying stuff just to take advantage of the coupon, which I don’t like. So I didn’t buy anything...

I need a personal assistant! Finding apartments, picking up keys, figuring out electricity (I have to be home for them to turn it on?), figuring out where I can get internet without phone and TV, calling to set up an installation, having to actually be there for the installation…
hmm if there are a lot of students that can’t find internships, maybe one will be interested. (Cameron,...
Ugh I don’t want a “bundle” I want just internet, not phone, not TV, just internet!!

The news is starting to strain my abilities to process or ignore it.
Yves Smith last night noted the rather extraordinary (though unsurprising) development that the very institutions that played such a critical role in the crisis — Citibank and Bank of America — are now using TARP funds they received not to extend more loans (the ostensible purpose of the bailout), but rather,...

Transformer will be built from a steel framed tetrahedron skinned in a plastic membrane. The tetrahedron is framed by four shapes: A hexagon, cross, rectangle and circle. Depending on the activity, whether staging a fashion show or showing a movie, the pavilion will be lifted, rotated on its axis, and put back down.

The Plan
Let’s all call our senators, and tell them to reject the bailout. Not on partisan reasons or shit like that, but because it might make life more interesting than now.
Went to visit the grandparents. Went over at 7:30, figuring that I’ll for sure be home for LOST. Leave when their clock says 8:45… get to the car, and the clock says 8:58. Fffuuuu
