It bothers me when people blog old news but everyone acts like it’s awesome and new.
The zeitgeist past you up.
I feel like I say this every week, but “omg, wtf, bsg!”
No concert tonight equals the following:
write one 2page essay
pint of ice cream
2 Blue Moons
rewatching last night’s 30 Rock
watching “Commentary: The Musical” the musical commentary to Dr. Horrible
Hmm, Space Olympics is another one that I like the video a lot more after listening to the song a few times.
Oh no Jess’s car is broken and we can’t go to Columbus to see Matt & Kim

Bridge Break, the annual event where the sophomore architecture students build 8 foot bridges that are supposed to support 3 people. The grad students then host an event around it, with skits and videos and stuff. Last year: American Gladiators. Another year was “The Price is Right” with huge replicas of all the minigames, it was very impressive.
This year was a youtube parody, so...

The house just shook so badly and scared the shit out of me. Something made the air rumble then disappeared.
This happened. Loudest sound ever, then every window ever shaking like mad. I have no idea what it was.
Were you asleep? I was thinking that possibly it was a huge crack of thunder but we missed the first part and only heard the...

Oh gods my deodorant was right next to the chapstick and I was just an 1/8th inch away from putting Old Spice on my lips.
You have very, very large chapstick, or tiny deoderant.
Hahaha… they are both normal sized… this sort of thing happens a lot to me. Almost drinking glue, brushing with the toothpaste tube instead of the toothbrush, pouring the soup...
And the real reason I wrote the post below was to mention that the speaker today actually mentioned Tumblr. Just the name, once. But for all the talk about Twitter and Blogger it was neat that someone finally mentioned it.
I’m taking a Planning elective, “Urban Lobbying: Politics and Media” which has guest speakers every week. Without fail, every speaker has talked about Web 2.0 and the “blogosphere” and how important and useful Twitter is and how transformative Facebook is.
Sometimes I want to yell out, “Yes we understand Facebook! We are the ones who made it big, you are a...

For the record, however, the most-taxed countries on Earth (i.e., the countries where revenue is the highest percent of GDP) are in order: Denmark
Sweden
Belgium
France
Norway
In terms of per capita GDP these are, respectively, the 4th, 9th, 14th, 15th, and 3rd richest countries on earth while the United States is 17th.

Watching the new(ish) 3d-animated Star Wars Clone Wars tv show… just saw R2-D2 get in an epic fight with another astromech droid on an exploding space-station as it falls into a gas giant.
The other droid hooked a cable into R2 and was leaning off the edge trying to pull R2 over with him, but R2 sprayed some gunk at the other guy, then lit the gunk on fire with his little booster jets, so...
Good news everyone!
Regarding last night. What I didn’t mention in that post is that I had a good guess on the culprit: swallowing pills without enough water.
But, because 2 different people told me today to see a doctor, I put all the symptoms into WebMD, and got an answer!
Esophagitis: inflammation of the lining of the esophagus. Possible cause “taking a pill with too little...

standing under a hot shower, initially intended as just a distraction to the intense chest pain, actually seemed to lessen it, at least temporarily. Which has inspired my next possible cure: hot tea.
symptoms of the irregularly occurring thing that occasionally befalls me at night:
terrible pain in my chest, sternum area. Dull but excruciating. Cannot possibly fall asleep with it going
aching fingers, specifically each joint
massive amounts of saliva
Oh, today was the first time I actually talked to fellow tumblr, fellow UC student, fellow Arch/Int major, Cameron. A week or two ago we waved to each other in the halls, but today I ran into him twice. Once in the art store; I got wood and he got “lunch” (chips and a drink) Then at the previously mentioned free food and booze showcase event.
My impressions for all y’all...

2 years ago I bought a razor scooter on eBay for $10. I wanted to use it to go to and from studio, which at that time was about a 15 minute walk. It sat in my room for weeks; I didn’t have the guts to use it. Then one night I tried it. I made it about 10 feet before I got too embarrassed, and carried it with me the rest of the way to studio. Today I was contemplating the 25 minute walk...

I read the Simple Wikipedia entry on String...

I found the Simple article rather helpful. I understand the theory way better now, even if it still just seems like magic.
WHOA .uk domain names!
I guess all .uk domain names are automaticaly entered in some creepy online database viewable to all? My name, phone number, and home address were all online and easily searchable thanks to Nominet
That’s super creepy. Good thing there is a (hard to find) opt out option as long as you are an individual using the domain for non-commercial purposes.

Party on friday was a success, but I guess no one took pictures, which is sad, because there were some cool costumes. Or at least, no one has posted them to facebook yet :(
Britannia High was good and fun, but the last episode of the series was total trash, not worth anyone’s time. Cancelled after one season.
@NikMason Re: zombies
zombie apocylapse @ nikmason
Totally agree. My plan includes an early trip to the pharmacy and then vanishing. Not just for zombie-apocs, but all apocs. Meds, guns, disappear.
I just want everyone to know
